e-Governance

Using ICTs as a channel for governance processes provides powerful potential for inclusivity of citizens. E-governance is already proving to be successful in developed nations, whereas there are opportunities yet to be grasped in the developing world.

A number of SAFIPA-supported projects are involved in the creation of applications for use by local government and municipalities that aim to streamline processes and provide citizen-friendly interventions.

This is the final edition of the SAFIPA newsletter. The month of November 2011, marks the conclusion of this dynamic initiative.



This newsletter pays tribute to the SAFIPA programme in the form of commentary and insights gathered during the very successful SAFIPA 2011 Conference. Project partners from the MFA, DST and CSIR Meraka Insitute applaud the programme. And SAFIPA supported projects have a final opportunity to showcase their innovations and processes.
