Health informatics intersects diverse disciplines of information science, computer science, networking and communication whilst simultaneously investigating process and methods of information retrieval and storage. The aim is to provide a holistic, streamlined and innovative health practice.
The SAFIPA Programme supports a number of projects that have created m-Health applications via web and mobile portals for end user care and training. The objective of these health informatics resources is to improve the processes and systems for health-care workers, which will result in them having more time to devote to their primary role of care-giving.

This is the final edition of the SAFIPA newsletter. The month of November 2011, marks the conclusion of this dynamic initiative.
